OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in February of 2016 the volume of the market of new light commercial vehicles (LCV) in Russia was 5.9 thousand units, which is less by 4.9% than a year earlier.

The market leader remains a Russian brand GAZ, which had over 40% of the total volume. In quantitative terms, it corresponds to 2.5 thousand units – more by 3.8% than a year ago. In the second place there is another domestic manufacturer - UAZ, February results of which reached 1.3 thousand cars (+ 8.1%). The top-three of leaders is closed also by Russian brand - LADA (471 units; + 16.6%). The top-five included also German Mercedes-Benz (365 units; -29.5%) and Volkswagen (334 units; + 12.1%).

We should note also that in January - February this year, the market of new LCV in Russia was 10.4 thousand units – less by 20.5% lower than in the same period of 2015.
