OREANDA-NEWS. Russian LCV market, which in January fell to the ninth place in Europe, at the end of the last month, was able to get back one position in the European Championship.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), the sales of light commercial vehicles in Europe grew by 16.3% to 136,811 units in February. The leader among the European countries by sales of LCV before 3.5 tons is France, where this segment grew by 13% to 33096 vehicles. The second place is occupied by Germany with an indicator of 18329 of sold units (+ 15.9%), and the third place - by the UK, whose LCV market reached 13,891 units (+ 0.4%). In the fourth place there is Spain - its result was 12,720 light commercial vehicles (+ 16.8%). The top-five of leaders is closed by Italy, where it was sold 12,600 vehicles (+ 28.7%). If during the consideration of LCV European market we take into account Russia, then our country has risen from ninth to eighth place, ahead of Ireland, but it is still behind the Netherlands and Belgium. According to the agency "AUTOSTAT", the sales of light commercial vehicles in Russia in February were 5921 units (-4.9%). Therewith, Russian market of LCV - is the only one among the leading countries in Europe, where it was recorded a sales drop.
