OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has launched a service to pay for games and applications in the Google Play store with mobile phone. Over first two months of operation Tele2 subscribers made around 31 thou purchases for a total sum of over 4.5 mn rubles.

Now Tele2 clients may purchase digital content in the official store for Android-based devices without using credit cards or e-wallet. If a client is making his purchase for the first time (application, film, music, book, game), it is necessary to enter the Google account or enter a new one and choose the “From Tele2 account” entry as a payment method in a relevant window. Henceforth, the service will offer paying purchases through mobile account by default.

A minimum payment limit totals 5 rubles, a maximum one is set at 15 000 rubles. A minimum required balance after the payment should total 10 rubles if the phone number was activated more than 60 days ago, it should total 100 rubles if the phone number was activated less than 60 days ago. Moscow subscribers are required to have 200 rubles at their account over 60 days after they started using Tele2 services. The service is not provided to corporate clients.

The service is provided only for mobile devices based on Android 2.3 and its upper versions. One can make purchases in the Google Play store through mobile account only if Tele2 wireless Internet is used at the device. More information on the service is available at Tele2.

A share of smartphones on the Tele2 network is actively growing: in 2015, it totaled 40.9% of a total number of devices. OS Android is leading in a rating of operating system with a share of 80.7%.
