The share of Japanese cars in the parc of foreign cars is about 40%

OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the parc of foreign cars in Russia as of January 1st, 2016. According to the study, the largest share of foreign cars in the parc was occupied by Japanese cars - 38.4%. In quantitative terms, it is 9 million units.

In the second place there are located passenger cars of European brands, whose share was 30%, which were slightly more than 7 million units. Slightly more than 16% of the parc are occupied by cars of Korean manufacturers in our country, which are the total number of about 4 million units. Passenger cars of American brands in the Russian Federation were registered in the amount of 3 million units, which correspond to the share of approximately 13% of all cars. The most numerically small parc in Russia is belonged to Chinese cars (about 600 thousand units), the share of which exceeds only slightly 2%.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", about 60% of the parc of passenger cars in our country is occupied by foreign cars, the most popular among them is Toyota Corolla.
