OREANDA-NEWS. The informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for energy is taking place in Amsterdam today. Issues on the agenda include regional cooperation and forces on the electricity market.

Internal energy market

The ministers will continue their work on creating a single energy market, which will provide the Union with a reliable supply of sustainable and affordable energy in the future. The European Commission and the ministers will discuss the various challenges facing the EU in the area of energy, such as integrating renewable energy, security of supply and regional cooperation. The Netherlands and Belgium will sign a declaration on energy cooperation.
