OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank, METRO Cash & Carry LLC and All-Russian Non-governmental Organisation of Small and Medium-sized Business "OPORA RUSSIA entered into a three-party cooperation agreement at METRO EXPO 2016. The document was signed by Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, Boris Minialay, CEO of METRO Cash & Carry, and Alexander Kalinin, President of OPORA RUSSIA.

The subject of the agreement is organisation of interaction between parties in order to promote the development of small and medium businesses that operate in the retail and services sectors (hotel business, restaurant business).

In particular, the agreement involves cooperation between the parties to help increase the level of financial literacy and professional competencies of small and medium-sized businesses; development and implementation of measures and instruments for supporting small and medium-sized businesses; and constructing an effective system for receiving feedback from the business community.

"The quality of the business climate in a country is one of the key factors that influence its economic development. Our companies are doing their utmost to create a comfortable environment for small and medium-sized business from various sectors to develop, including the retail and services industries. Our goal is to unify our efforts in this area," commented Herman Gref.

In addition, at METRO EXPO 2016 an agreement was signed by Sberbank Factoring and METRO Cash & Carry LLC. The agreement sets out the procedure for financing suppliers of METRO Cash & Carry LLC according to express conditions: simplified analysis of suppliers' financial standing and rapid decision-making. The parties agreed to cooperate on factoring deals, including agreeing on principles and rules for financing factoring suppliers, determining effective sizes of financing and settlement procedures, and provision of information support for factoring operations.
