OREANDA-NEWS By the end of 2024, one eco-technopark for waste recycling will be built in eight Russian regions, Vedomosti reports.

Eight eco-technoparks for processing waste with a total capacity of 1.1 million tons of secondary resources will appear by the end of 2024 in the Krasnodar, Primorsky and Stavropol territories, as well as in the Leningrad, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions within the federal project "Closed Loop Economy".

The publication noted that the costs for the construction of eco-technoparks will be divided between business and state. REO will invest 10 billion rubles. Another 17,6 billion rubles will be invested by resident companies. In addition, plans indicated that by the end of 2024 the share of recycled resources in agriculture will reach one quarter, 20% will be in construction, and 15% - in industry.

Experts agreed that to judge the effectiveness of new eco-technoparks will be possible only when they will work to their full capacity. At the same time the planned capacities for the whole country are not enough. We are talking about the fact that Russian regions are in need of waste recycling facilities, so similar projects should be built in every region.
