OREANDA-NEWS. One in three doctors hospitalized in Oslo after being vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine has died, experts are studying the possible connection of the lethal outcome with the vaccine. This was announced by Steinar Madsen, Medical Director of the Norwegian Medicines Agency.

"On Saturday, the medical agency and the National Institutes of Health reported that three of the patients who received the vaccine were hospitalized due to blood clots. The university clinic said one of the hospitalized died," Madsen said at a news conference.

According to him, experts are now studying all reports of blood clots in everyone who has been vaccinated, regardless of the manufacturer of the vaccine. "We ask that the medical staff report such cases immediately. The university clinic is investigating whether there are common characteristics between the three hospitalized patients who developed blood clots. They also compare these cases with others identified abroad," the agency spokesman explained.

He clarified that experts agree that 14 days after vaccination, the risk of side effects is extremely low. The patients received only one dose of the vaccine, they were healthy and had similar symptoms. Madsen explained that investigations of side effects are ongoing at both the national and European levels.

Norway has suspended vaccination with AstraZeneca. It is known that more than 120 thousand Norwegians have already been vaccinated with this vaccine.
