The vaccine developers presented it as part of a virtual event on the sidelines of the UNGA session. The UN reported that the organization is studying the proposal of the Russian president and is in contact on this issue with the WHO.
“First of all, many UN staff members have already received the Sputnik vaccine, namely in the Russian Federation. Earlier, a WHO expert said that the organization expects to give its assessment of the safety of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine at the end of June or in July.
