"Volvo has found a new owner. This is our Russian company, and the documents have already been signed. We were waiting for this moment, we were not ahead of events," the governor said. According to Shapsha, it is planned to reach full capacity next year. He will hold a meeting with the management in the near future.

The official stressed that the owner of the Volkswagen plant also changed this year.

On September 8, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the assets of the Volvo carmaker in Russia were transferred to a Russian investor. The new owner will restart production at the Kaluga site with the involvement of a domestic partner.
