OREANDA-NEWS. In China, it was possible to transfer a record amount of information per second using elements of the future 6G network. It is reported by Gizmochina.

The experiment was carried out by scientists from Tsinghua University. They managed to transmit a terabyte of data over a distance of a kilometer per second using millimeter vortex radio waves. An experimental wireless system worked at the Olympic Complex in Beijing.

The researchers believe that the new technology will form the basis of the future wireless communication standard code-named 6G. The station, based on millimeter wave, can simultaneously transmit more than 10,000 broadcasts of high-definition video.

China is considered one of the world leaders in the development of 6G, holding 40 percent of the registered patents for the future technology. According to forecasts, the deployment of the new network will not begin until 2030 - the data transfer rate will be 100 times higher than that of the current 5G.

Earlier, in December 2021, it became known that the first industrial 5G test site in Russia was launched on the basis of the Botkin Hospital in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports.

The test site will use a new generation network to conduct applied research and test prototypes of medical solutions.
In addition, the use of 5G in robotics will be tested at the site of the Moscow medical facility. The landfill allows you to create the most realistic working conditions for new digital technologies, according to the website of the mayor of the capital.
