Roszdravnadzor May Be Empowered to Block Websites Selling Medical Certificates
"The draft federal law" On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation "... was developed in pursuance of instructions ... on the establishment of criteria that are grounds for blocking Internet resources containing proposals for the sale of counterfeit medical documents, including remotely, as well as on the issue of changes in the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the vesting of Roszdravnadzor with the authority to make a decision on blocking these resources, "- said in the explanatory note to the document.
In June, officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, together with colleagues from district divisions, suppressed the activities of a group of persons suspected of selling fake documents on vaccination against coronavirus.
According to preliminary information, the men themselves made and filled out certificates, then sold them on the Internet. Police searched their office and seized over 50 blank COVID-19 vaccination certificates and 20 seals and stamps from medical facilities.
