OREANDA-NEWS Roskomnadzor reacted to the idea of some representatives of the Federation Council to ban childfree and radical feminism on the Internet. Representatives of the regulator in an interview with the publication "Rise" denied the development of the project.

"Roskomnadzor has not received these proposals. If they are received, they will be considered in accordance with the established procedure," the department told reporters.

Earlier, Lyudmila Narusova, a member of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction, the mother of TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, opposed the proposal to ban childfree and radical feminism on the Internet. According to the senator, the Russian parliament has already "stamped laws" on such bans.

Prior to that, it became known that the Federation Council proposed to ban the publication on the Internet of materials about radical feminism, childfree and to include them in the list of prohibited content, thereby equating to terrorism. This was reported by one of the authors of the project, Senator Margarita Pavlova.

The senator reported that the Federation Council is already "working together with Roskomnadzor on a bill to expand the list of topics of destructive content subject to blocking".
