Eaton Designs New Customizable Linear High Bay LEDs for Food Processing, Pharmaceutical and Other Harsh Environments
“Eaton’s lighting technology delivers new levels of efficiency and illumination in a range of industrial environments,” said Devon Jenkins, LED Product Line Manager at Eaton. “The Pauluhn Apex LEDs feature an angled housing, and are designed to withstand the high-pressure wash down and cleaning systems used in food processing applications.”
Most other hose-down luminaires have an ingress protection (IP)65 or IP66 rating that protects them from water access, but are not sufficiently rated to protect from high-pressure, wash-down environments. Eaton’s Pauluhn Apex linear LEDs are designed and rated for 1,500 pounds per square inch (PSI) high-pressure hose down from a five-foot distance to withstand food processing and corrosive environments.
The Pauluhn Apex LEDs are engineered to provide high lumen output, with efficiency up to 118 lumens per watt. The latest models feature Eaton’s custom optics designed to maximize light distribution and intensity. These models provide up to 60,000 hours of continuous operation, avoiding the need for frequent lamp replacement.
Eaton’s Pauluhn Apex LEDs can be customized for application specific performance requirements. Fixtures include a through-feed design for multiple fixture wiring, versatile mounting options, as well as dimmable and occupancy sensor configurations to reduce energy consumption. The Pauluhn Apex LED luminaires meet Underwriters Laboratories (UL®) 1598 and 8750 standards, Canadian Standards Association (CSA) 22.2 and NSF® International Splash Zone standards.
