OREANDA-NEWS  New Zealand has imposed new sanctions against Russia over the conflict in Ukraine. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the country.

Restrictions were imposed on 45 individuals and 16 legal entities "providing material or strategic support to Russia, allowing it to evade sanctions or facilitating the purchase and transfer of military equipment," the ministry said.

In addition, New Zealand joined the G7 restrictions and became another country that imposed a price ceiling on Russian oil. With the new decision, the state authorities also restricted the export of certain goods to the Russian Federation and Belarus through third countries.

Earlier it became known that new US sanctions could further reduce the supply of Russian oil to India, which has become the largest buyer of raw materials over the past year, due to a shortage of tankers. In February, 14 vessels associated with Sovcomflot, which were engaged in the delivery of oil to the republic, were subject to restrictions.
