OREANDA-NEWS  In the second week of April, the volume of Russian oil exports by sea reached its highest in 11 months, since May 2023. Almost record loading was observed in all major ports. In general, since 2022, this indicator has exceeded the current level only twice. Bloomberg writes about this with reference to ship tracking services.

The four-week indicator, which is less dependent on random factors, also rose sharply. The last time it was at this level was in June 2023. Weekly supplies significantly exceed the quotas that Russia has assumed as part of its obligations to OPEC+.

As noted in the article, problems at Russian oil refineries (refineries) led to such dynamics. The oil that could not be sent for processing is exported. Accordingly, simultaneously with the maximum supply, the processing coefficients are at a minimum for 11 months.

Due to such circumstances, the revenues of Russian companies from oil sales increased by $ 170 million per week due to an increase in volumes. However, the publication does not indicate how much revenue from the sale of petroleum products has fallen.

Earlier, Reuters, citing its own sources, indicated that Russia had managed to repair a number of refineries damaged as a result of drone attacks. However, fuel production in April will still decrease compared to March, because other enterprises will leave for repairs. Idle capacity is expected to reach 4.4 million tons, compared with 4.1 million in March.
