OREANDA-NEWS The head of the consulting company "Yakov and Partners" - a partner of the former Russian division of McKinsey, Yakov Sergienko, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that he is building an international business in Russia with a Russian heart.

The American consulting company McKinsey – one of the world leaders in the industry – last spring announced the suspension of customer service in Russia. And in the summer, the partners of the former Russian division of the company announced that they would work under the brand "Yakov and Partners". "Historically, consulting is rebuilt once every 30 years in response to changes in the world. But if earlier the industry was changing quite smoothly, now, as it seems to me, is a period of revolutionary changes," Sergienko said. According to him, the partners actually had to reinvent consulting in Russia. In the new company there were those who tightly linked their fate with Russia and at the same time wanted to build an international business. "I would say that we are building an international company with a Russian heart," he said.

"Before the events of February, there were about 700 of us - at some point there were only 120 of us left. Now there are almost 300 of us. They are mostly experienced employees from international consulting companies, leading investment banks, law firms, and foreign companies that have left Russia. And now employees from large industrial organizations, oil companies and so on are also being added," Sergienko said.
