OREANDA-NEWS  Since the beginning of 2023, AvtoVAZ has sold 173 thousand cars, twice as many as in the same period of 2022, such information is provided on the company's website.

In July, the company sold 29.4 thousand cars, an increase of 5.5 percent compared to June. Lada Granta turned out to be the sales leader, 17.2 thousand such cars were sold in July, which is 162.5 percent higher than sales for the same month last year.

During the month, Russians bought 5.1 thousand cars of the Vesta family — 20.5 percent more than in June. The Niva Legend model was sold in the amount of 375 cars, which is four times more than in July 2022. In addition, in July 2023, the plant sold 3.4 thousand Niva Travel SUVs, which exceeds the results of July last year by eight times.

In mid-July, AvtoVAZ raised prices for Lada Niva Legend. Cars after installing additional noise insulation have risen in price by 8-42 thousand rubles. The basic version of the Classic began to cost 829 thousand rubles, the Black package — 943.9 thousand rubles.

Earlier it was reported that cars in Russia will rise in price by at least 10 percent after the increase in the recycling fee rate. Since August 1, tariffs for the import of cars for resale have increased by an average of three times.

The association "Russian Car Dealers" believes that the rate increase will affect Russian cars as well. After the increase in scrap collection, Russians began to buy cars imported into the country, which is why used cars have already risen in price. At the same time, AvtoVAZ promised not to raise prices for Lada.
