OREANDA-NEWS In March, the European Union (EU) increased imports of Russian grain by one third compared to the previous month, according to data analysis from RIA Novosti based on information from the European Statistical Service.

This increase was particularly notable in early spring, when the EU imported 125,200 tons of agricultural products, up from 92,600 tons in the previous month and 100,000 tons a year earlier. On a monthly basis, imports jumped by 35% and on an annual basis by 25%.

This increase can be attributed to a sharp rise in Greek imports, which increased almost nine-fold to 29,000 tons from 3,300 the previous month. In addition, Spanish imports also increased by 24,000 tons compared to the month before.
