Ineos ethane carrier diverted from Houston: UpdateOREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2016.  The JS Ineos Insight, which was slated to load the first cargo of ethane from Enterprise's new export terminal at Morgan's Point, Texas, this week, appears to have turned away without loading, according to observers and vessel tracking data.

The vessel, which can carry 15,000 bl of ethane, was anchored near Houston early this week but is now moving out to the Gulf of Mexico and is slated instead to arrive at the Marcus Hook terminal near Philadelphia next week. The nature of any delay is unclear, and a call to Enterprise were not immediately returned.

"There were some logistics issues, but the commissioning timeline otherwise remains unchanged," an Ineos spokesman told Argus. Enterprise originally slated the terminal to be complete by the end of September.

Market participants noted another ethane carrier, the JS Ineos Intrepid, is now slated to arrive in Houston 17 August from Europe.
