OREANDA-NEWS  Aeroflot has completed the settlement of relations with the Irish leasing company AerCap for 18 foreign-made aircraft. This is stated in the message of the air carrier.

"The process of settling relations with the lessor AerCap (Ireland) for 18 aircraft and 5 aircraft engines operated by Aeroflot Group companies has been completed," the company noted. In accordance with the agreement reached, AerCap has terminated its claims to the Russian parties both under leasing agreements with PJSC Aeroflot and JSC Rossiya Airlines, and under insurance policies issued by Russian insurance companies, the carrier said.

Aeroflot added that the Insurance Company NSK LLC, which made the payment of the settlement amount, received ownership of the aircraft and engines.

The air carrier also said that Aeroflot will continue negotiations on the settlement of existing claims with other lessors of foreign-made aircraft.
