OREANDA-NEWS. IRU member in Argentina, FADEEAC, hosted an official ceremony to mark the opening of the country’s first Cargo Transfer Centre (CTC). A public/private partnership, the project will improve the passage of trucks through Buenos Aires and facilitate the redistribution of goods more efficiently.

Set within a 37-hectare logistics park, the CTC can circulate between 3,500 and 5,000 trucks a day, and enables cross-docking activity. 62 companies are installed at the centre with this number expected to rise to more than 120. The 90 million dollar project will also provide staff facilities and catering, and is likely to generate further development.
