BMW Recalls More Than 19 Thousand Cars in Russia Due to Problems with Child Seat Mounting

OREANDA-NEWS. The official representative of BMW in Russia - BMW Rusland Trading LLC - recalls 19 087 cars of the BMW X6 brand (F16 series) and BMW X6M (F86 series). We are talking about vehicles sold from September 2017 to the present, the Rosstandart said in a statement.
"The reason for the recall of vehicles is that the use of child seats with ISOFIX mounts and additional struts on the underbody of the car can lead to the destruction of ISOFIX restraint brackets from fatigue. If the restraint bracket is broken, the ISOFIX child restraint is no longer possible", the report says.
Previously, BMW is recalling more than 33 thousand X3 and X4 crossovers in Russia due to problems with mounting car seats. Under the revocable campaign were cars sold from August 2010 to May 2016. The reason for the recall was Isofix retaining brackets on the rear seats.
