OREANDA-NEWS. The Changan-Ford joint venture in Chongqing, China, has begun mass production of the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric crossovers. In the near future, the new vehicle will enter the local market and will compete with the local version of the Tesla Model Y.

The Chinese Mustang Mach-E is longer, wider, and taller, than the global one by 15.1 and 23 millimeters, respectively. It's wheelbase is 2 984 millimeters, which is 12 millimeters more, than the same crossovers for Europe and the United States.

In China, the novelty will have four versions of different power: 269 horsepower (198 kW), 294 horsepower (216 kW), 351 power (258 kW) and the top GT Perfomance Edition, the total return of which is 487 horsepower (358 kW).

According to the press service of the automaker, the choice will offer two options of batteries with a capacity of 68 and 88 kilowatt-hours, one charge of which will be enough for a maximum of 600 kilometers on the NEDC cycle. Other details, as well as prices for the Chinese Ford Mustang Mach-E will be known by the end of this winter.
