OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Railways told the details of the new rules for long-distance trains, which come into force on September 1, 2023. The company announced this on its website.

"We are talking about changes in the rules of passenger transportation. They take into account the gaps identified recently in the regulation of passenger transportation issues," the report says.

In trains, among other things, a ban will be imposed on the use of musical instruments and sound amplification equipment en route. This rule will not apply to hearing aids and headphones.

In addition, the new rules have added the right of passengers of the upper shelves to sit at a table near the lower shelf during meals — for 30 minutes in the morning and evening, as well as for 1 hour at lunch.

Also, Russian Railways has defined a clear list of documents for the purchase of tickets for long-distance trains and banned the disembarkation of a stowaway passenger under 16 years of age from the train (controllers or train crew employees are required to hand him over to representatives of the internal affairs bodies).
