Russia announced an increase in car supplies from Japan and Korea

OREANDA-NEWS The import of cars imported for personal use through Vladivostok customs in 2023 amounted to 226 thousand units, which is 1.5 times more than a year earlier, the customs authority said in a statement.
Cars with engines ranging from one to 1.8 liters were mainly imported from Japan and South Korea.
"From February 1, 2024, Vladivostok Customs will change the schedule for registration of vehicles of individuals for personal use and switch to a seven-day operation mode. This will ensure continuous and uninterrupted registration of cars, as well as reduce their registration time," the message says.
Since August 9, 2023, Japan has banned the import of cars with gasoline and diesel engines with a volume of 1.9 liters, as well as hybrids and electric vehicles into the Russian Federation.
