OREANDA-NEWS  Chinese companies will help to resume the work of the Kaluga Volkswagen and Volvo plants. The participation of partners from China in the resumption of production was announced in an interview with the TASS news agency by State Duma Deputy Gennady Sklyar. According to the official, the former conveyors of the Volkswagen concern can resume work before the end of this year.

According to Sklyar, a Chinese company is already entering the former Volkswagen automobile plant, whose specialists have begun preparatory work for restarting production. At the same time, the deputy did not specify which models will be assembled at the enterprise. The manufacturer of their Celestial Empire will also help in restarting the former Volvo site. Moreover, the automobile plant plans to produce trucks. In mid-May, Volkswagen sold off its assets in Russia. The Avilon company became the owner of the automobile plant in the Kaluga region.

And at the end of June it became known that Volkswagen Group Rus will continue to operate in our country under the name of AGR Automotive Group LLC.
