OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, large logistics companies complain about the shortage of truck drivers. This is what Izvestia writes about.

According to the publication, in the domestic transport and logistics industry, the shortage of truck drivers weighing more than 3.5 tons is 21 percent.

Mikhail Belousov, CEO of Marshall Group of Companies, said that few people want to go into the profession now. Also, according to him, there are no normal parking lots and conditions for drivers.

In addition, he complained that not all driving schools train such specialists. Vadim Filatov, Deputy Director of the PEC, noted that such a profession is becoming less and less attractive for young people. "The average age of truck drivers is 48-52 years and continues to increase," he said.

It is noted that the average increase in the number of job offers in the field of transport and logistics amounted to 38 percent over four years.

Earlier it became known that the State Duma adopted in the second reading a bill changing the system of obtaining and exchanging driver's licenses.
