Hungary issued a decree prohibiting the supply of weapons to Ukraine from the country's territory. This was announced by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, RIA Novosti reports.

“At a meeting of the Operational Headquarters of National Security ... we assessed the situation, a decree was issued that makes it clear that it is impossible to supply weapons from the territory of Hungary to the territory of Ukraine,” the politician said on his Facebook page.

The corresponding decree is published in the official bulletin Magyar Közlöny ("Hungarian newspaper").

Earlier it became known that the United States and NATO sent more than 17,000 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine in less than a week.

At the end of February, Orban said that Hungary would not send weapons to Ukraine, since the country needed all the weapons it had. At the same time, the politician stressed that Budapest would support the sanctions against Russia, which were agreed upon in the EU.
