OREANDA-NEWSIn the near future, the central authorities of the PRC themselves will prepare a national security bill for Hong Kong, since the authorities of this special administrative region have not been able to work out and adopt a corresponding act for many years. This was reported on Thursday by a Chinese newspaper.

According to its sources, the issue will be brought up for discussion at the annual session of the All-China Assembly of People's Representatives, which opens on Friday in the Chinese capital. The new law is expected to ban any subversive activities against the central government of the PRC, terrorism, separatism and foreign interference in Hong Kong.

Moreover, it will be adopted directly by Beijing, without any participation of Hong Kong legislators.
