Russian Consumer Supervision Recommends Abstaining from Traveling to China Due to Coronavirus
On January 21, Russian consumer supervision issued a recommendation for Russians to refrain from traveling to Wuhan, where an initial outbreak of the disease caused by the virus was recorded. "The department recommends that Russian tourists refrain from visiting the PRC until the epidemic situation stabilizes", the report said.
The ministry added that it monitors flights arriving from China, as of Thursday there were no cases of suspected coronavirus in Russia, and the situation itself is being controlled.
In addition, the department recommends that Russian tourists traveling to China do not visit zoos, cultural events involving animals, use masks to protect their respiratory organs, wash their hands thoroughly after visiting public places and use only thermally processed food and bottled water.
