OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian Embassy in Lithuania on Wednesday condemned the resolution adopted on the eve of the parliament of this republic condemning Russia's position on the history of World War II.

The embassy found it striking that "today, when sensible people, politicians, public figures of various countries and continents, seriously concerned about the fate of mankind, are looking for ways to join forces, provide mutual assistance in the fight against a new mortal danger, there are also such elected representatives who see their priorities in this situation in the search for enemies".

On the eve of the Seimas of Lithuania adopted a resolution in which it condemned Russia's position on the history of World War II. For the resolution, 97 deputies voted unanimously. In March, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that on the eve of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, attempts are being made to politicize history and falsify facts in a number of European countries.
