OREANDA-NEWS  A "yellow" security level will be introduced in the Georgian Parliament on Wednesday in connection with the protests taking place in Tbilisi over the adoption of the law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence".

"In accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia N1/259/23 dated September 4, 2023 on the approval of security rules in the Parliament building of Georgia, from 09:30 on May 15 until further notice, a "yellow" security level will be in effect in the Parliament Palace - entry to the Parliament building for visitors will be limited. Only persons invited by the relevant structural units will be allowed to attend the planned parliamentary events (including committee meetings)," the press service of the parliament said in a statement.

The authorities added that the purpose of the event is to ensure a working and safe environment.
