OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2010. Ukraine could substantially increase grain exports to Egypt. The Prime Minister of Ukraine said that during his meeting with Egyptian Parliament Speaker Ahmed Fathi Surur.

Mykola Azarov noted that as the results of the Sixth Session of the Joint Ukrainian-Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation several bilateral documents were signed.

The Prime Minister stressed that cooperation in the field of agriculture is very promising for the State. Mykola Azarov said that since the beginning of this year, Ukraine supplied 1 million tons of grain to Egypt: "Ukraine has supplied 1 million tons of grain to Egypt and supplies can be much higher."

The Prime Minister noted that Ukraine and Egypt have agreed to establish a working group under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Prisyazhnyuk, which will develop the project on cooperation in agriculture and identify the ways to implement it.
