OREANDA-NEWS  VK Fest has prepared initiatives that will make the event as accessible as possible for people with disabilities. For deaf and hard of hearing people, the video broadcast of the festival will be translated into Russian sign language. This is reported in the company's press release.

Experts from the Moscow theater of deaf actors "Nedoslov" and translators Katerina Kononenko, Maria Zizina and Margarita Startseva will help in this. They adapt not only the performances of the stars in the broadcast, but also communication with guests on the Blue Carpet, interviews with celebrities from the studio of Vladimir Marconi, stories from the cities of the festival. A version of the official website will be available soon vkfest.ru for people with visual impairments.

Festival visitors can support charities by purchasing "Kind tickets" from VK Dobra. Such tickets cost 100 rubles more than regular ones. The funds will go to local organizations, and the festival will increase the monetary contribution of guests to charity. Last year, with the help of "Kind tickets" VK Fest sent 2.5 million rubles to the funds.

"VK Fest is a festival that is convenient for everyone. Last year, it was visited by 800 guests with disabilities. And the broadcast in sign language has been watched over eight million times," said Zoya Novikova, head of VK Fest.

The year 2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia, and VK Fest supports projects to help children and parents. Buyers of "Kind tickets" in Ufa will help the charitable educational foundation "Marhamat", which deals with the problems of full—fledged development of children, in Krasnoyarsk — the Yellow Stork Foundation, which creates programs for the preservation of children in the family, in Sochi - the non-profit organization "Institute for the Development of Family Structure", which solves the problems of orphanhood. In St. Petersburg, the funds will go to the Partnership for Every Child charity organization, in Moscow to the Children of Ours Charitable Foundation, which works in the field of prevention of social orphanhood.

Earlier, VKontakte announced the names of artists who will perform at the VK Fest in the summer of 2024. In 2024, the festival will be held for the ninth time. In 2023, it united 200,000 spectators and 500 artists, entering the Russian Book of Records as the event with the largest number of performing stars.
