OREANDA-NEWS Italian singer Enzo Ginazzi, known under the creative pseudonym Pupo, announced an upcoming trip to a concert in Russia, saying that he was going to the "trenches" for the "cause of Peace."

"Together with all my musicians, technicians and reporters, I'm moving to Moscow for a week. On March 15, at the Kremlin Theater (the State Kremlin Palace – ed.), I will record a special television episode of Pupo and Friends. This will be my modest contribution to the cause of Peace. Instead of sitting quietly and comfortably at home, I decided to go to the trenches," he wrote on the social network.

According to the information on the Kremlin Palace's website, at the concert "Big benefit Pupo. In the circle of friends" "everyone's favorite songs of the famous singer and composer will be performed in duet with Russian artists." Tickets for the event cost from 1.8 to 20 thousand rubles.

According to Pupo, he is not going to Russia "out of economic need, not out of a desire to become more famous and loved." "I don't need either. I'm doing this because I had a dream. I dreamed that a song, a simple song, lit up the minds of two people. Two men who shared nothing but passion for this song. The dream ended with the two of them singing the chorus, and when they shook hands, their two peoples became brothers again," the singer wrote.
Pupo has been performing on the Italian stage for over 40 years. In 1985, he went on an extremely successful tour in the USSR, during which he gave 40 concerts. Since then, he has performed in Russia several times and remains one of the most popular representatives of the old Italian stage. In March 2022, as a sign of solidarity with his Russian colleagues, Pupo performed the Soviet composition "There is only a Moment" in Russian. In May last year, he announced that he did not go to a music festival in Russia because of the threats he received.
