OREANDA-NEWS  Russian tourists have flocked to five countries for the May holidays. Such data is provided by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to the "1001 Tour".

It is clarified that Turkey has become the leader of the tourist flow — it accounted for 46 percent of all tours between April 26 and May 3. Egypt came in second place with 25 percent of tours sold in the last two weeks. The UAE occupies the third place, followed by Russia and Thailand.

Earlier it became known that Krasnodar, Samara and Vladikavkaz turned out to be the most budget-friendly among the most popular tourist cities for the May holidays. The average check for accommodation in Russia during the May holidays, according to analysts, increased by ten percent year-on-year and amounted to 5.4 thousand rubles per day.
