OREANDA-NEWS. May 08, 2008. The Belarusian delegation, consisting of more than 50 members, is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus A.V. Kobyakov, reported the press-centre of Belagroprombank.

The delegation includes a number of top-ranking officials of the state public authorities (the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Finance), chief executives of the largest economic entities (the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian Metallurgical Works”, Mozyr Oil Refining Plant OJSC, Horizont OJSC, Dzierzhinsky agro-industrial complex OJSC, the Republican Production & Trade Unitary Enterprise ”Minsk-Crystal” , the Belovezhsky National Park), as well the representatives of agro-ecotourism – a new sector in the Republic of Belarus.

This event plays a significant role in the economies of both countries, as evidenced by the support from the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Lombardy region, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Belarus and of Milan. The Embassies of both countries take an active part in the event preparation.

The conducting of the Days of Economy of the Republic of Belarus is aimed at the development of cooperation of our country with European partners,” says Sergei Roumas, Chairman of the Board of Belagroprombank OJSC. The event program entails a meeting of the representatives of domestic enterprises with Italian partners regarding the contact cooperative stock, a conference with the participation of the representatives of the National Banks of both countries, the representatives of Italian and European banks and the executive management team of the national insurance agency SACE, as well as holding negotiations between Belarusian officials and their Italian counterparts in regard to relevant activities, including the development of agro-ecotourism.
