OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2008. The harvest campaign is in full swing in Turkmenistan. The good news came from the Dashoguz Velayat. Local grain growers had delivered over 4,000 tons of bread grain to the receiving points. This labour victory is profound contribution to strengthening food security of the country and an important step towards accomplishment of the fundamental agricultural reform.

The Ruhubelent Etrap, one of the youngest regions of Turkmenistan, was establishment in the tracts of land - Shasenem, Ashik Aidyn and Diyarbekir in the Dashoguz Velayat last year. During the year over 6,000 hectares of fallow lands were developed, of them 3,500 hectares were sown with winter wheat and 2,600 hectares with cotton.

Ruhubelent grain growers work tirelessly so that the harvest would be plentiful and heavy-eared. They observed the agricultural requirements and prepared the agricultural machines including the John Deer and Case highly-powered harvesting combines and trucks for the campaign.

Nowadays, Ruhubelent is a big construction site. Dozens of apartment houses, administrative buildings, roads, power transmission lines and other facilities are under construction in the region. The necessary measures to create the worthy living conditions for rural people are taken.

Agricultural workers continue to reap the harvest in the grain fields and to prepare the lands for sowing other crops.
