OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2008.  On the instructions of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the members of the Turkmen governmental delegation held the talks with the representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan (the Russian Federation).

The prospects of mutually advantageous co-operation in the framework of the top level agreements and in compliance with the priorities of Turkmenistan’s large-scale programmes of national social, economic and cultural development were a focus of the talks. The sides paid particular attention to partnership in the fuel and energy sector, in particular oil refining and petrochemical industries. The sides exchanged views on the opportunities of establishing the fruitful contacts in textile and aircraft industries, machine building, transport and communication, agriculture. The issues of further development of traditional humanitarian partnership, first of all in the sphere of education, in particular training highly qualified specialists, science and healthcare and exchange of experience in mass media were a theme of the constructive dialogue.

The sides put emphasis on the reciprocal endeavours to expand effective co-operation in the whole spectrum of fields in order to implement the profound potential of collaboration in full.
