OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2008. Four Ukrainian missiles are to be launched by the end of this year, Deputy Director General of the National Space Agency of Ukraine Eduard Kuznetsov said.

A Dnepr converted missile is to be launched on October 4-5. Another rocket may be launched within the Sea Launch program in December. The launches of a Dnepr rocket and a Zenit 3SLB missile within the Land Launch project are also underway.

Taking into account the launches of Ukrainian rockets already conducted in 2008, their number may reach ten. Thus, according to the number of launches, Ukraine has a chance of climbing the third place in the world from the current fifth position.

On September 24, a Zenit 3SL rocket put into the orbit a Galaxy 19 satellite owned by Intelsat Company as part of the Sea Launch project.
