President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the top managers of French Bouygues – President Martin Bouygues, Vice President Oliver Bouygues, Senior Vice President Aldo Carbonaro, Regional Director Charles Santer and Commercial Director for Central Asia Alexey Reshev.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guests cordially congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 17th anniversary of independence and addressed the wishes of peace, happiness and wellbeing to the Turkmen people. Mr. Martin Bouygues emphasized that he and his colleagues were sincerely glad to have an opportunity to visit Turkmenistan on these day whose new impressive accomplishments aroused sincere pride among its long-term partners and fiends whom Bouygues ranked itself among.

Greeting the French guests the Turkmen leader said that all those who came to Turkmenistan to prove their high professionalism and willingness to co-operation on the honest, reliable basis considerably contributed to the changes going on in Turkmenistan and aimed at guaranteeing the worthy life to the Turkmen people.

The top managers informed the Turkmen leader of the progress of the construction projects implemented by the Bouygues Company in Turkmenistan. In particular, the French businessmen presented the draft designs of the offices of the ministries and Ashgabat khyakimlik, the cableway in Geokdere, the building of the airport in Ashgabat and fashionable hotel under construction in Ashgabat.

Upon thoroughly considering the projects Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provided some remarks and proposals to the designers emphasizing that the major requirement set to foreign partners was the high quality of construction in compliance with the international standards and application of state-of-the-art technologies. Focusing on the importance of accelerating construction work the Turkmen leader said that the projects should combine the advanced architectural and engineering thought, modern design and national architectural traditions.

Approving the projects in whole the Turkmen leader issued the relevant resolutions initiating construction. The future new buildings included the building housing the offices of the public organisation – members of the Galkynysh National Movement, the administrative buildings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the confidence granted Mr. Martin Bouygues emphasized hat the company was sincerely proud of co-operation with Turkmenistan and considered it great honour to contribute to the historic change reforms in the country. The French businessman assured that the President’s proposals and recommendations would be taken in consideration and Bouygues would meet the contractual obligations offering its expertise and potential to Turkmen partners.
