OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2011. Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting to discuss interaction between federal and regional authorities in coordinating efforts against terrorism and crime, and the role of the presidential plenipotentiary envoys in federal districts in supporting these efforts.

Counter-terrorism measures were also discussed at the meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee held by Dmitry Medvedev on February 22, 2011, in Vladikavkaz.

Today’s meeting was attended by Prosecutor General Yury Chaika, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Naryshkin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Vladislav Surkov, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin, Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, and presidential plenipotentiary envoys to federal districts.
