OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2012. On May 28, a new terminal complex has been opened at the Boryspil International Airport – it’s the Terminal D which is the biggest in Ukraine. The official opening ceremony was attended by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov, Boryspil Airport General Director Anton Volov.

During the opening ceremony the President of Ukraine congratulated all gathered with yet another Ukraine victory. "First of all, I thank everyone who contributed to the construction: architects, builders, to all those who took care of construction from the outset," Viktor Yanukovych said. "I wish passengers who will be arriving into the new terminal of a comfort, pleasant impressions and a soft landing."

The President noted that today's opening of the Terminal D - "an investment of our generation to future generations."

Borys Kolesnikov emphasized the Terminal D - Ukraine's largest airport: it has an area of 107 thousand sq. m. and can serve up to 15 million passengers a year.
