OREANDA-NEWS  Roskomnadzor in 2019 plans to introduce a new technology telegram locks for 20 billion rubles, according to the Russian Service BBC, citing sources.

We are talking about the technology of DPI (deep packet inspection "deep packet analysis"). The hardware and software complex installed at the provider analyzes all the traffic and highlights the features peculiar to specific sites or applications. The same complex can cut off unwanted traffic. According to the publication, now the equipment based on this technology is tested in one of the Russian regions.

Equipment for blocking will be purchased at the expense of the state. It will be installed on the networks of large operators in the nodal points of the Runet.

We will remind, on April 16 Roskomnadzor began to block the messenger because of the refusal of the telegram management to provide the FSB with encryption keys for correspondence. Now access to banned sites is blocked by IP-address, which affects third-party resources. Thus, in the spring of 2018, Roskomnadzor blocked about 11 million IP addresses, some of which were used by online stores, logistics companies and the media.

In April 2018, the Tagansky district court of Moscow issued a decision to immediately block Telegram in Russia after the messenger refused to provide the Federal security service with the keys to the encrypted correspondence of users. Despite the blocking, Telegram continues to work for the majority of Russian users.

Despite the Ministry's attempts to block the messenger, the daily audience of Telegram is growing. According to Mediascope, for the year it increased by 1.5 times - up to 3.4 million people.

Currently, access to prohibited resources is restricted by IP-address. Because of this, in the spring of 2018, Roskomnadzor has blocked a number of neutral resources, including those related to the cloud services of Google and Amazon.
