Samsung Pay will stop supporting Mir cards from April 3

OREANDA-NEWS Samsung phone owners will no longer be able to use virtual Mir cards, the manufacturer has announced.
"Starting from April 3, 2024, the addition and use of Mir cards in Samsung Pay will be unavailable," the press release says.
In addition, the mobile application of the Mir payment system for payment with a MirPay smartphone has disappeared from the Google Play store, a RIA Novosti correspondent found out.
Also, the applications "SBPay" and "Hello!", which were previously available for download, are no longer found in the search.
The Samsung Pay service was launched in 2015, and it started working in Russia a year later. Before the sanctions were imposed, it was the third most popular contactless payment system in Russia with a 17% share.
