The Secretary General of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Alaev, has sent a letter to the Director General of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Martin Cullen. Earlier, the Council of the European Union outlined the rules for crossing the border of the European Union, according to which it is allowed to let everyone who has been vaccinated with approved vaccines. Russian drugs «Sputnik V», «EpiVacCorona» and «KoviVak» are not included in this number.
Euro 2020 was postponed from the summer of 2020 to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Initially, the tournament was to be held from June 11 to July 11 in 12 cities.
