OREANDA-NEWS Russian Karen Khachanov has risen to tenth place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), an updated version of which was published on Monday on the organization's website.

Compared to the previous version dated May 25, it has improved its position by one line.

Another representative of Russia, Daniil Medvedev, dropped from second to third place, and his compatriot Andrey Rublev remained on the seventh step. Thus, for the first time in history, there are three Russian tennis players in the top 10 of the ATP ranking.

On June 11, Roland Garros ended in Paris, for the duration of which, as at other Grand Slam tournaments, the world ranking is not updated. The winner of the tournament in men's singles was Serbian Novak Djokovic, who rose from third to first place in the ranking after that. The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who reached the semifinals of the tournament, dropped to the second place.

As for Medvedev, at Roland Garros-2023 he was eliminated in the first round, Rublev - in the fourth, Khachanov - in the quarterfinals.
