OREANDA-NEWS. On Thursday, July 25, in St. Petersburg, Dmitry Chentsov, director of the City Center for Medical Prevention, reported on preventive examinations.  At the moment, medical visiting teams conducted inspections at 500 summer residents.

The results showed that half of 339 people had overweight, a quarter had high blood pressure, and half of them had no idea about this before, they lived, feeling unwell, but they didn’t guess how to measure pressure.  But it is precisely extra weight and high pressure that are threatening factors for the development of a stroke.

With such symptoms it is especially dangerous to work in the slope.  Moreover, suspicious skin lesions were found in 10% of summer residents on the skin.  And in one case, the doctors identified and confirmed melanoma.

It turned out that even with the unpleasant symptoms, the gardeners did not pay attention to them and did not go to the specialists for help or just for a consultation.
