OREANDA-NEWS  Former NBA player from Sweden, Jonas Yerebko, said that he regrets moving to the Russian basketball club CSKA. This is reported by Reuters.

Rebko signed a contract with the Russian club in 2022, which is why he was suspended from playing for the national team at the World Cup.

"I haven't played for almost a year and a half, and I didn't have any other offers. I received an offer from CSKA and took advantage of it. At that time I was thinking only about basketball, but everything turned out differently. I regret it now, and if I could go back to the past, I wouldn't do it," he said.

Yerebko also added that the transition to CSKA was not due to a financial issue.

"I had a weak idea of how to return to the NBA, and so I agreed to the offer. But at the same time, I would not like to blame anyone, the responsibility lies with me," the basketball player said.

Earlier, a player from the USA Royce Hamm left the Russian basketball club Zenit.
